Diamond & Silk suggest death numbers are being inflated to harm Trump's popularity.

Professor of Law and Political Science Rick Hasen (@RickHasen) joins Sam to discuss his new book, Election Meltdown: Dirty Tricks, Distrust, and the Threat to American Democracy as well as the impact of Covid-19 on the 2020 general election and remaining primaries. As the 2020 presidential campaign begins to take shape, there is widespread distrust of the fairness and accuracy of American elections on both sides of the aisle. Factors driving this include voter suppression tactics (particularly on the part of Republicabs), pockets of incompetence in election administration (often in large cities controlled by Democrats), and foreign and domestic misinformation campaigns. Hasen goes over how these currents have manifested in recent years and offers some ideas for reforms that might restore people's faith in the US electoral system.

A plug for genstrike.org, which is seeking to network a national movement of rent, debt and labor strikes.
