Daily Beast reports that former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach has been using a nonprofit group he advises to raise money for his U.S. Senate campaign, and legal experts say one recent fundraising push likely ran afoul of federal campaign finance laws.
 
From the Washington Post, three NRA board members who raised concerns about reports of reckless spending and mismanagement by the group's leadership resigned Thursday, another sign of mounting dissent within the nation's most powerful gun-rights group.
 
New York Times is reporting that the Manhattan district attorney's office has subpoenaed the Trump Organization, requesting documents related to hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels, several people briefed on the matter told The New York Times Thursday.
 
And the FBI for the first time has identified fringe conspiracy theories as a domestic terrorist threat, according to a previously unpublicized document obtained by Yahoo News.
