Sam and Emma host Heather "Digby" Parton, proprietor of the wönderblog Hullabaloo and Salon.com contributor, to discuss the week's top stories, including Biden's bipartisan fetish President Manchin and the filibuster, and more. They explore the Democrats’ plan to make June the month of failure, using the filibuster as part of their ass-covering project, and Biden’s lack of leverage over Manchin, before moving on to how the Republicans have been mastering the obstructionist blueprint for decades. Next, they touch on the futures of the voting, infrastructure, and (now singular) reconciliation bill, and how Manchin remains the bar for Biden to put a bill up for a vote. Sam and Emma then watch Lara Trump bust the theory of Trump’s August Inauguration, and Sam hypothesizes how Q stans will work around her comments (it’s easy, just delay it a month!).
