While Silicon Valley has promised great advancements in education through trendy new technology, it hasn't exactly panned out that way. Examining things like proctoring software (which functions like spyware), auto-grading, and MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses), Reich shows how tech alone cannot mitigate inequality or revolutionize education.
